In short: use the app lawfully and decently, post only content you have the rights to, and you keep ownership of what you make. We don’t sell ads and we don’t sell your data — the app is funded by a one-off platform fee and the optional verification badge. Earnings are paid on valid views, and inflating them artificially forfeits them. We can suspend accounts that break these rules, and you can leave whenever you like.
Overview
ClabPix is a short-video app for India: you record or import a clip, publish it to the feeds, build an audience and earn from genuine views. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the app, this website and the features we offer through them, which we together call the “Products”. The Products are provided to you by Gov India Technologies, and these Terms are therefore an agreement between you and Gov India Technologies. If you do not agree to them, do not use the Products.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Products. They supersede any prior agreements.
We don’t charge you to download the app, to watch reels or to publish them. We don’t sell advertising, and we don’t sell your personal data. Section 2 explains how the app is funded instead.
The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. You can review your privacy choices in the app’s settings at any time.
1. The services we provide
Our aim is to give people in India a place to make short video and be paid fairly for the attention it earns. To advance that, we provide the following:
1.1 A feed that is yours
There are three feeds: Following, which is the people you have chosen; Popular, which is what the country is watching; and New, which is what has just been published. What you see in them is shaped by who you follow, what you watch and finish, what you react to and bookmark, and the settings you choose.
1.2 Ways to find people and content you care about
You can search accounts, hashtags and sounds; follow creators; see who has visited your profile, and hide your own visits with ghost mode; and, if you turn location on, find accounts near you with People Nearby. We use what we know about your activity to suggest creators and content, and you can ignore every suggestion.
1.3 Tools to create and publish
You can record in the app or import an existing clip, add an original sound or one from the sound library, write a caption and hashtags, pin a reel to the top of your profile, make a reel private, and restore something from Recently Deleted if you change your mind. Other people can react to and comment on your reels, subject to your settings.
1.4 Payment for genuine views
We pay creators for valid views on their reels, credited to an in-app wallet. Section 4 sets out exactly what counts as a valid view and what does not.
1.5 A place to list what you are selling
Marketplace listings let you advertise an item to other people in the app with a title, description, photo and asking price. Section 5 explains what we do and do not do in that transaction.
1.6 Safety, security and integrity
People will only build an audience here if they feel safe. You can report any reel, comment or account, and block anyone. We review profile photos and cover images before they appear, act on reports, and use technical systems to detect inauthentic engagement and abuse. Where we find content or conduct like that, we may notify you, remove the content, restrict a feature, freeze earnings, disable the account, or contact law enforcement where there is a genuine risk of serious harm.
1.7 Access to the service
To run the app we store and serve your content through hosting, storage and delivery providers, and send notifications, one-time codes, emails and payments through the providers listed in the Privacy Policy. That infrastructure is necessary to provide the service.
2. How the app is funded
We don’t sell ads and we don’t sell your personal data — so the app is funded by two optional payments, both made in the app through our payment provider:
- A one-off platform fee, which opens creator earnings and referral credit on your account. Publishing, watching and everything else works without it.
- A verification badge, which is a paid request and is reviewed by a person before it is granted. Paying the fee is not a guarantee that the badge is granted.
Both prices are shown in the app before you pay, and we may change them with notice in the app. Neither purchase buys extra reach: a paid account’s reels are ranked in the feeds on the same terms as everyone else’s.
Marketplace listings are free to post.
3. Your commitments
We provide these services to you and others. In exchange, we need you to commit to the following:
3.1 Who can use the app
When people stand behind what they post, the platform is safer and more accountable. So you must:
- Provide accurate information about yourself, and use a phone number or email address you control — account recovery depends on it.
- Only create one account, your own, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
- Not give access to your account to anyone else, or transfer it, without our permission.
You cannot use the app if you are under 15. If you are under 18 you need the consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your use of the app and for any payment made through it. You also cannot use the app if we have previously disabled your account for breaking these Terms, or if you are prohibited from receiving our services under applicable law.
If we disable your account for a breach, you agree not to create another one without our permission. Permission is at our discretion, and giving it does not mean the original decision was wrong.
3.2 What you can share and do
We want people to express themselves, but not at the expense of the safety of others or the integrity of the platform. You agree not to do any of the following, or help anyone else do it:
- Post unlawful or harmful content — anything that incites violence, promotes self-harm, sexually exploits anyone, sexualises a minor in any way, or breaks Indian law.
- Harass or impersonate — targeted abuse, threats, doxxing, hate directed at people for who they are, or pretending to be someone you are not.
- Post content you do not own or have the rights to share, including someone else’s video, music or images, or content that reveals private information about another person.
- Spam, scrape or fake engagement — bulk or repetitive posting, bought or traded follows, reactions and views, automated access to the app or the API, and any attempt to game the feeds or the earnings calculation.
- Misuse the reporting or verification channels, such as by making fraudulent, duplicative or groundless reports.
- Interfere with the service — uploading malicious code, probing or overloading our systems, bypassing rate limits or security controls, or reverse-engineering the app other than as the law expressly permits.
We can remove or restrict access to content that breaks these rules, and we can suspend or disable an account for it, as described in Section 6.2.
If we remove something you posted, we’ll tell you and explain how to ask us to look again, unless the breach is serious or repeated, or telling you would expose us or others to legal liability, harm other users, or interfere with an investigation.
We encourage you to report content or conduct you believe breaks these rules or infringes your rights. Every reel, comment and profile in the app has a report option.
3.3 The permissions you give us
We need certain permissions from you to provide the service:
- Your content. You keep ownership of everything you post. You are responsible for having the rights to it, including rights to any music, footage or images you did not create yourself.
- Permission to use content you create and share. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical delivery (for example, transcoding and generating thumbnails), publish and display your content within the app and its official promotional channels, and to let other people view and re-share it through the app’s own features. This licence exists so we can run the service; it ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except for copies in backups for a short period, or copies other people have lawfully re-shared.
- Original sounds. If you record an original sound, you also allow other people to use that sound in their own reels through the sound library.
- Deleting your content. You can delete anything you posted at any time, and deleting your account deletes the content posted to it. A deleted reel goes to Recently Deleted first so you can restore it; after that it is removed from the feeds and your profile. Copies may persist briefly in backups and caches, and anything another person downloaded or re-shared outside the app is beyond our control.
- Software updates. If you download or use our app, you give us permission to install updates to it where your device allows.
3.4 Limits on using our intellectual property
The ClabPix name, logo, app design and software belong to Gov India Technologies, and may not be copied or used to suggest an association we have not agreed to. Where we provide content inside the app — sounds, stickers, design assets — we keep all rights in it, and you may use it only as part of using the app as intended. You need our written permission (or a permission the law gives you) to modify, translate, decompile or reverse-engineer the app or extract its source code. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
4. Creator earnings and your wallet
Only valid views earn. A view of your reel is valid when all of the following are true, and we decide it on our servers rather than in the app:
- The viewer was signed in to an account. Views by people who are not signed in are counted in your public view count but earn nothing.
- The viewer was not you. Views of your own reels never earn.
- The viewer watched at least the minimum watch time shown in the app.
- That viewer has not already produced a valid view on that reel. Each viewer counts once per reel, for good — rewatching does not earn again.
- Your account is eligible: the one-off platform fee is paid, and earnings are not frozen.
Earnings accrue at the rate shown in the app, quoted per thousand valid views, and are credited to your in-app wallet in regular cycles. We may change the rate with notice in the app; a change applies to views counted after it takes effect.
Your wallet balance is a record of what you have earned. It is not a bank account, earns no interest, has no cash value outside the app, and cannot be transferred to another account. Withdrawal is not available in the app yet; when we enable it we will publish the minimum amount, the details we need from you, and how long a payout takes. Any tax on what you earn is yours to handle.
Referral rewards follow the same rules: they are credited when the person you referred meets the conditions shown in the app at the time, and they can be reversed if we find the referral was not genuine.
Where we find inauthentic activity — bought or traded engagement, coordinated viewing, automated accounts — we may withhold or reverse the affected earnings and freeze accrual on the account. For repeat or deliberate cases we may remove the account from earnings entirely. We will tell you why, and you can dispute it through support.
5. Marketplace listings
A marketplace listing is a classified advertisement: you describe an item, add a photo and an asking price, and interested people contact you. We are not a party to any sale, we do not process the payment, we do not hold the money, we do not verify the item or the seller, and we do not offer refunds, shipping, escrow or dispute resolution.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing and for the legality of what you offer. Do not list anything you cannot lawfully sell, anything counterfeit, or anything that breaks Section 3.2. We can remove any listing, and take action on the account behind it.
Meet in public, verify what you are buying, and be wary of anyone asking for payment before you have seen the item. If a listing looks fraudulent, report it.
6. Additional provisions
6.1 Updating these Terms
We may need to update these Terms as the app changes, to keep it safe and secure, or to comply with the law. We will only make changes that are reasonable and take due account of your interests, or that are required for safety, security or legal reasons.
We will notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before a material change takes effect, unless a change is required by law sooner, and you will have the chance to review it. Continuing to use the app once an update is in effect means you accept it. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account and stop using the Products.
6.2 Suspension and termination
We may limit, suspend or remove an account that clearly, seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, that puts other people at risk, or where the law requires us to act. We may also disable an account that repeatedly infringes other people’s intellectual property rights, or one that we believe has been taken over and whose ownership we cannot confirm.
Where circumstances allow, we will tell you what happened and how to ask us to review it. For serious safety issues we may act first and explain afterwards. We may act without notice where telling you would expose us or others to legal liability, harm other users, or interfere with an investigation.
You can leave at any time: deactivating your account in Settings takes your profile and reels out of the app, and you can ask us to delete your data outright instead.
If your account ends, these Terms end as an agreement between us, except for Sections 3.3, 4, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5, which survive.
6.3 Disclaimers and limits on liability
The app is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and secure, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for content posted by other people or for what you choose to rely on from it. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or earnings you expected but did not receive; and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and the balance then standing in your wallet. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
6.4 Disputes
If you are a consumer, or where the law requires it, the law of the country in which you live applies to any claim you have against us arising out of these Terms or the Products, and you may bring it in any competent court there that has jurisdiction.
In all other cases, and for any claim we bring against you, you and we agree that the claim must be brought exclusively in the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, that you submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts for that purpose, and that the law of India governs these Terms and any claim without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Without prejudice to that, we may at our discretion bring a claim against you in any competent court in the country where you live.
6.5 Miscellaneous
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be amended to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable, and if that is not possible it will be severed and the rest will remain in force. If we fail to enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of it. Any amendment or waiver must be in writing and signed by us.
No transfer. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else without our consent. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not confer rights on anyone other than you and us.
Username changes. We may change the username on your account in limited circumstances — for example, where someone else has a legitimate claim to it, or where it impersonates another person.
Feedback. We appreciate suggestions about the app, and we may act on them without restriction or any obligation to compensate you. We are under no obligation to keep them confidential.
